Healthy Living Style

Healthy living can be achieved by anyone who can commit to maintaining a balanced diet, an exercise regime, and a positive mental attitude. People who enjoy such a living are disciplined and committed to their goal, and as a result their quality of life improves along with their physical and mental well being. I have maintained a healthy living for ten years now and I would never go back to my previous customs and habits, at fifty years old I have never been happier.

During my teenage years and all throughout my young adult years I led a life style of excesses, excess alcohol, excess party and excess work. On an average day I worked ten hours, smocked a pack of cigarettes, drank a couple of whiskeys, and barely slept at all. As a result of this behavior I always felt fatigued; I had no energy to exercise so I was overweight. This situation would probably still be going on if it wasn’t because I suffered a mild heart attack which forced me to change my habits.

I wanted to start a healthy living style because I was scared that if I didn’t I would end up in the hospital again with another heart attack or something worse, and I wasn’t ready to die yet. So I joined a gym and started a fitness training routine, I also made an appointment with a nutritionist who created a balanced diet according to my special needs. Needless to say I quit smocking and partying, and now I spend my nights reading, watching movies and sleeping.
